The Antarctic

Written By Shreya Bansal (Grade 9)

3 voyagers went on the trip to a land,
One by one,
All 3 went
But came back: just one.

They described to the people
Every minute detail of the Antarctic,
Like how much similar it is
To the world of the Arctic.

The northern lights appear
To glow like spiritual lights,
The children try to reach them
But they, of course, cannot reach the heights.

The penguins huddle together
Just to keep them warm,
They are always in groups
That’s an adaptation norm.

There is nothing but snow
In the whole of Antarctic,
Look how similar it is
To the world of the Arctic.

There are surprises every time
For explorers old and new,
It is open for everyone to see
And is as natural as me and you.

Summer of Study

1 min read

Beneath the searing summer sun,
My friends and I studied one by one,
Gripping our pens with razor-sharp minds...

Time Flies By

Was it a dream?
Or, was I not alive?
Everything went by...

Silent Struggle

Each day unfolds, a new charade,
Emotions tangled, hopes betrayed.
But my lips are sealed, no words to tell...
