When we think of the famous Mughal architecture the first place that comes to our mind is “Agra”. Many foreigners and Indians likes to visit the place and feel that their trip to Agra is incomplete without having the world wide famous sweet dish “Agra ka Petha”. People who visit Agra from other countries take the sweet along with them to their country.
Petha is also known as “WINTER MELON”. The story behind this is that Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan ordered his chefs to make a unique dessert for him that would be as pure and white as the marbles used to make the seventh wonder of the world, Taj Mahal. That is when the royal chefs invented the world famous petha. From then this surgery sweet kept gaining popularity.
As the white petha is high in dietary fibre, it improves gut health as well which for those who have indigestion issues such as constipation, gas, and acidity must include this in their diet.
The 5 amazing health benefits of petha:
- Aids Digestion
- Stops Bleeding
- Good for Mental Health
- Helps Skin & Hair Growth
