Hello World!! Love, The Children

Written By Atishaya Gupta (Grade 7)

Children re-invent the world for you” – Susan Samdan

Right now, the world is full of despair. It is a world of misery, a world of chaos, a world of darkness. But children…. they are the very source of glee that glows the world up, that shines it, that makes it the shining beacon of light in the universe!

Children are the embodiment of extraordinary exploring of exotic wonders. They make the flowers grow, the springs flow and make people know wherever they go. Either they learn and learn and learn a new hobby or visit places that no adults can even dream of going. I say coders and apps all around the world at age 11 and I was smitten by it. At the drop of the hat, I decided to start coding while simultaneously writing a story and playing cricket! It is a true wonder of how children seem to fit almost anything in their minds. Nothing is spared, how big or small.

Children are the life, fire and the soul of the Earth. A child’s gurgling laughter can brighten up even the saddest soul. Also of us love the bright, bodacious smile on a child’s face, don’t we? It starts to make us leap with joy. A recent study showed that children can brighten people between the ages of 50 – 70. Therefore, you don’t need artificial dye to colour your white hair, children themselves do it for you!

When you are a child, you can do anything you want. You run, play and enjoy life to it’s fullest. Amazing, right? Children are treated like royalty and everyone caters to their every whim. They melt into the cute aura of the child and are in a state of pure bliss. A child is stronger, fitter, faster and smarter than an adult. Their wisdom and intellect astound even scholars. Their innocence melts even the most crooked heart.

A brook gurgling or a child laughing? Scents of sweet of jasmines and roses or the jingling of a child’s toys? What would you choose? For me, a child smells of the sweetest roses, laughs like a ripple of stream and dances like the trees bowing to the sunset. Why their aura rivals that of nature itself! It’s true what Samdan had said. Children truly, continue to re-invent our world.

I opened my eyes to the world on 7th April 2008. Since the very beginning, I loved exploring. It was books that fed my curiosity as I delved into the world of spies, astronauts, and wizards. But the one place that grabbed my attention the most was our galaxy. I hope you enjoy reading my articles and poems! Have a look at my blog here.
