On the 2nd of April, I found one of my grandmother’s old albums while searching my grandmother’s drawer with my younger brother. I asked my grandmother if I can see them and she said, “Yes, sure!”. So, I browsed through the album.
The album was white and “Sweet Memories” was written on the top. I saw a lot of pictures of when my family visited the Taj Mahal, of my aunt’s birthday party, of my father’s fourteenth birthday and when my family visited a restaurant together. I recognized my aunt, father, grandfather, grandmother, great-grandmother and great grandfather in the pictures. I couldn’t recognize anybody else. There were no black sheep in the family as everybody followed rules and they were adept in something or the other. My family enjoyed visiting the Taj Mahal so much that there were about thirty photos. My father and aunt were clearly having a lot of fun and it looked like my grandparents were only clicking photos. One of my great aunts lives in the USA, so when I saw photos of her and her husband, I couldn’t recognize them at all. In particular, I have never met my great-aunt’s husband.
After all that, I found that my dad and aunt were just like us during their youth. But the reason is still unknown why they scold us for doing something which is completely harmless. Nevertheless, it helped me to understand that my grandmother was not carefree during those times. She was just like my own mom. I had a lot of fun browsing through my grandmother’s photo album. I recommend that you ask your grandmother for her own photo album, as it certainly is a lot of fun.
