Unique Aspects of India that Inspire Me

India is filled with many wonderful traditions and is one of the best tourist destinations. India has diverse traditions, cultures, ancient temples and various festivals to celebrate. This is the land of wonders.

India has had many intelligent scientists. India’s first mathematician, Aryabhatta is the first to have discovered the number zero. The first Indian satellite, Aryabhatta, was also named after him. Srinivasa Ramanujan is also one of the greatest mathematicians ever. The Hardy-Ramanujan number was discovered by him. The number is 1729 and it’s a perfect cube.


In India, there are also many temples with beautiful sceneries and the architecture on the walls of old temples is really mesmerizing. This is a land with plenty of temples. Most of the tourists love to visit old or ancient temples. Maheshwar Temple, an old temple of Lord Shiva located in Satara, Maharashtra, was built in the 16th century. It’s not well known but the natural beauty, especially the waterfall, is really wonderful and mesmerizing. Belur Halebid, is also an old temple located in the Hassan district in Karnataka. There are various temples there and the architecture is fantastic. It was built during the rule of Hoysala dynasty in the 16th century. There are many temples like this present all over India.


There are many waterfalls, forest reserves, national parks, palaces and much more which are really beautiful. Sundarbans, Bandipur, Jim Corbett, Ranthambore are just some of the national parks. In here, there are various animals and plants. Jog falls, Meenmuthy, Kiliyur falls and Shivanasamudra falls are some of the falls.

In India, there are lots and lots of festivals like Holi, which is the festival of colours, Ugadi, celebrated in Karnataka as new year and Diwali, the festival of lights. On Diwali, everyone puts lights and candles and burn crackers. Dussehra is when the whole city will be lit and it celebrates the day Ram, avatar of Vishnu, killed 10-headed demon Ravana. These are some of the famous festivals which bring happiness to people who celebrate them.


Some monuments like the Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, the Qutub Minar and India Gate, where the names of brave warriors are written, Charminar, Gol Gumbaz and Lotas Temple are some of the glamorous places to visit.


India is filled with many mesmerizing, beautiful places to visit and it’s really an attractive place for tourists with amazing food and rich culture.
