Poetry wakes up emotions and
Reminds us of memories
And things that we have
Forgotten or are unremembered.
Things that make us recollect
Of people left behind in our lives,
Of people we don’t think about
Of the love which somehow remains.
Words that we should have said,
And words that we actually said,
And the rift between
Unimaginable and unbelievable.
A perfect life in words,
Life at its best,
That imaginary life
which we’ll never get.
Life where there is no misery,
No grief and sorrow,
Only love and happiness,
A picture perfect life.
