Written By Ankita Srinivasan (Grade 10)

Lying back on the grass ground,
Beauty is abundant all around.
Silence fills up the clear night,
The sky was bright with light.

A million stars glisten far away,
Casting light in a soft spray.
The moon in its crescent shape,
Show me the best landscape.

Arms crossed behind my head,
Springy grass I couldn’t see my bed.
Swirls of stars and planets my view,
A beauty present in very few.

The various shapes intrigued me,
Constantly shifting for me to see.
A swift flash crosses like a scar.
And I wished upon a wishing star.
