The Pandemic Which Was

Written By Arwa Rampurwala (Grade 8)

A pandemic the virus was,
Socialising was one of its greatest cause.

At first, they made it a joke,
But soon the entire country woke.

The disease started spreading like wildfire,
And there was a lockdown which curbs our desires.

People started dying,
And mothers started crying.

Rumours started to spread,
Messing with our heads.

People began to panic,
They began to fear this toxic.

The poor starved as they had nothing to eat,
And businesses had to take a beat.

Such was the impact of COVID-19,
If only had we practised social distancing!
